MCP

Connect an AI app that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), such as Claude or ChatGPT, and ask it to work with your YouViCo projects. For example, you can ask which comments were left on a project or have it reply to a comment.

Connect an app

YouViCo is listed in the Claude directory. Other apps that support MCP can connect with the URL.

  1. Select Add to Claude in one click below to open YouViCo in the Claude directory.
  2. Connect it and sign in to YouViCo.
  3. Choose a workspace and scopes, then approve.

When you approve, the app can use YouViCo in the workspace you chose, within the scopes you allowed. The app renews its access token on its own, so it stays connected. If it has been unused for 30 days, connect it again.

YouViCo sends you an email and a push notification when a new app is connected.

What the app can do

The app uses the API endpoints that have an MCP tool, with your roles and the scopes you approved. For example, it can search projects, read comments, and add YouTube videos.

Each API reference shows its MCP tool name or Not Supported. Use the HTTP API to list AI models, generate files, and upload generation attachments.

Warning

Uploading files works only in apps that can read files on your computer.

  • To let the app do more, connect it again and approve more scopes.
  • Rate limits are shared with your API key requests.

Disconnect an app

Disconnect the app from Connected apps in the Console. It loses access right away.

An app is also disconnected when you leave its workspace or delete your account.
